  5. Issued in Nov. '74, TOLEDO WINDOW BOX (LD) is George Carlin's fourth LP for LITTLE DAVID Records. It's also his fourth and final album to go gold. Taped at Oakland, CA's Paramount Theater on 7/20/74, this set deals with a few of George's favorite topics at the time: weed, religion and anomalous words and phrases/5(16).
  6. Back in "the day", as the young people say, the whole "truth in advertising" thing was serious business. The album cover (and the stoned looking Carlin on the back cover wearing the t-shirt with the pot plant picked clean) was, in fact, an indication that a good portion of this album had a drug theme or was drug positive, at the very least.

  8. This LP was Carlin's fourth straight gold album-he was in the zone then. The title stems from the name of a kind of marijuana Carlin says a man once offered him; he digs into drugs, words, God and human nature in Toledo Window Box; The Metric System; Gay Lib; Nursery Rhymes; God, and more!/5(20).
